MY AR GIFTS FROM SHAREBEAR

I was thrilled to finally join in on my first AR Gift Exchange. I received tons of stuff from ShareBear such as...

2 KITCHEN TOWELS AND 2 POT HOLDERS

YUMMY SMELLING CANDLES

BATH TIME FUN FOR THE KIDLETS

MY FIRST GARLIC PRESS
(Yes I know. "WHAAAATTT???"
With all the recipes I've tried off AR, I've never actually owned a garlic press.)
MY FIRST FAJITA PAN
(Which my husband said, "Thank you so much." He's a fajita junkie.)

SOME FOOD FROM MEXICO
I already ate all of the tamarind candy. We have something similar in the Asian markets but our version is coated with sugar. The taste is very close though.
The Chile & Lime Puffed Wheat Snacks were really good too.
I tasted a bite of the Barritas fresa and decided to share those with the kids.

GETTING READY FOR HALLOWEEN AND COLDER WEATHER

Been a busy month and Halloween is just around the corner. YAY!!! As I've said before, I carved my first pumpkin way too early. Excluding what is in my compost pile, this picture is the only remain of my creation. Its not much but I did carve it and do some wicked shading.

GARY IN SKELETAL FORM
After a week of not having phone, internet, and Allrecipes, I found out I really could cook without AR. *Hides from the stone throwers*

Evidence that I can cook without Allrecipes

UPSIDE-DOWN PEACH FRENCH TOAST AFTER COOKING
Notice the creamy gooeyness between the layers. I really did cook it enough but it had a to die for cream cheese filling. So good. I should have used more peaches.

After spending some time sitting around and waiting for my daughter's dance classes to finish, I decided that I would teach myself to crochet and then knit. During my week of AR deprivation, here is my first crocheted scarf for my daughter Josceline.

HAIR CANDY BY JOSEPHINE HALLOWEEN THEME

Its October now so I thought it would be wise to start some Halloween bows. Most of the Halloween bows have either a foam center or a eraser center. Also, I had some excess flower buttons so I decided to utilize them too.

HAPPY BELATED FIRST DAY OF FALL

Its been kind of hectic around here with school and dance class starting. Also, I've been canning my buns off trying to preserve as much as I possibly could from this year's garden and a huge box of peaches my husband decided to buy.
I know the first day of fall was Tuesday so I'm a little late.
HAPPY BELATED FIRST DAY OF FALL!!!
MR. SNEDDEN & MRS SNEDDEN
Yes. I still go by Roeper because I love Texas. Hahaha. Get it?
*Hears only crickets in the background*

JOSCELINE'S TURKEY CHARACTER
Notice the 2 homegrown decorating pumpkins from my only surviving volunteer pumpkin plant.
All of my other pumpkin plants didn't make it.

THIS YEAR REALLY WAS A HAPPY HARVESTING YEAR

FIRST YEAR OF CANNING RESULTS
- Lots of jelly jars, green beans, soon to be cubed pumpkin, and soon to be carrots from the garden not included.

HARVESTING SUNFLOWER SEEDS
There you have it. I really went overboard with the pumpkins this year. I think I have:
28 decorating pumpkins (because they are so darn cute)
2 homegrown decorating pumpkins (from my volunteer plant)
6 pie pumpkins (for... you guessed it... pies)
13 medium pumpkins (canning)
4 large pumpkins (carving)
2 insanely large pumpkins (anger management)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
55 Pumpkins = My dream of having a pumpkin patch on my front yard being fullfilled
***Or you can use this equation***
55 pumpkins: about $100.00
Time to find and buy all these pumpkins: 2 days
Expression on husband's face when he came back from his Army weekend drill: PRICELESS

About Me

Hello and welcome to my world. My name is Josephine. I am 26 years old with 2 kidlets named Josceline (4 years old) and Lindsay (18 months old). I am a US Army veteran, a SAHM, and a military wife. As previously stated, I LOVE to cook anything and everything. I love to cook fruits and veggies that come straight of my garden. I have a small garden in my yard but it is packed with almost anything you could think of. I also have a greenhouse to garden in during the cold winter months. I started to blog on Blogger so my Allrecipes blogs would look better. I wanted my AR (Allrecipes) pictures to stand out so this is why I'm here.
